"The
bicycle theory states that, the moment you stop to pedal, then you begin to
fall”, says a preacher. Have you achieved some successes in life and you assume
you’ve arrived? Do you think the height you have attained is the highest you
can ever attain? Don’t you think things can get better than what they are now?
Thomas
Edison said, “Show me a thoroughly satisfied man and I will show you a failure.”
Bear this in mind: you are the only one that can set a limit to your success in
life. And don’t forget that what you are celebrating as success today is the
starting point for some great achievers. The truth is this: “Small things
excite small minds.”
Why
can’t you begin to think big? Why can’t you begin to desire greater heights?
Look
around. You would realize that the people with common and average achievements
are in the majority. Someone aptly captured it this way: “It’s never crowded
along the extra miles.” It’s common knowledge that the majority of people (with
common and average achievements) are at the bottom of the pyramid and that’s
why the base of the pyramid is so large. Why can’t you keep moving until you are able
to stand out? Or are you satisfied with where you are now?
“Perspire
to acquire your desire which you admire and never retire but refire even in the
midst of oppositions by vampires. The moment you stop to aspire, then you start
to expire.”
